To get paid, just as you would realise is essentially crucial in your business because if you are not paid, what are you doing in business?

You will be shocked at the number of business people who only have their clientele to pay them when and if they remember it. I am acquainted with one businessman who continuously gets bad debts like weeds. How? Most likely because he doesn’t bring himself to request the cash and people intimidate him.

If you let a customer credit, do so only after they cleared their integrity to you by paying cash on delivery (COD) for a time. Furthermore, you need to gauge whether they have the cash to pay you - if not don’t do business with them. Don’t kid yourself into thinking “I need the work” or “I need the sales”. It’s damaging doing the work or providing the goods for free if you don’t get paid.
